Kiwanis supports Meals on Wheels
The Kiwanis Club of Dougherty County already lends support to Sowega Council on Aging by manning a “Meals on Wheels” delivery route every Thursday and Friday. On June 25, though, the club demonstrated financial support for the council, as Sowega Council executive director Kay Hind accepted a check for $1,000 from club president Todd Butler. Hind, who is also a Kiwanis DoCo member, was honored earlier this year as 2012 Distinguished Older Georgian by the Georgia House of Representatives in Atlanta. |
